Free Scandinavian Christmas Printables: A 10-Page Nordic Journal Kit

There is something especially comforting about a Scandinavian Christmas: red wooden cottages under fresh snow, candlelight in the windows, evergreen branches, hand-painted decorations, warm baking and beautiful textiles brought out year after year.

Scandinavian Christmas is a free 10-page printable journal and papercraft kit inspired by that cheerful Nordic folk atmosphere. The collection combines warm Christmas red, forest and sage green, Nordic blue, icy blue and warm cream in a detailed watercolor-and-gouache style that feels traditional, colorful and wonderfully cozy.

What Is Included?

The free download contains ten high-resolution US Letter pages. Pages 1-9 are portrait and the final bookmark sheet is landscape. You will receive every page as an individual 300 dpi JPG plus one convenient PDF containing the complete collection.

Page 1: Scandinavian Christmas Pattern

The opening paper is filled from edge to edge with snowy cottages, folk horses, tomte figures, decorated trees, foxes, deer, mittens, gifts, sleighs, gingerbread, berries and winter florals. Use it as a journal background, scrapbook paper, envelope liner or festive notebook cover.

Page 2: Eight Journal Cards

Eight coordinating cards provide practical writing space for Christmas memories, recipes, dates, captions and family traditions. Each card has its own cottage, tree, animal or folk-art theme.

Page 3: Small Christmas Ephemera

Twenty individual watercolor motifs are arranged on a bright white background with clean cutting space. They are ideal for layering into junk journals, cards, planners and collage.

Page 4: Eight Tall Gift Tags

This page contains eight complete tags in a tidy four-by-two layout. Print them on light cardstock, add ribbon or twine and use them on parcels, place settings, journal pockets and handmade gifts.

Page 5: Postcards, Tickets, Labels and Seals

Two large blank postcards are joined by tickets, labels, circular seals and small journaling pieces. The open areas can hold names, dates, short notes, recipes or photograph captions.

Page 6: Twenty-Four Unique Stickers

The dedicated sticker page explores a different side of Nordic Christmas. It includes a straw Yule goat, woven paper heart, paper star, advent candle holder, painted toys, enamelware, rice pudding, saffron buns, lingonberry jam, heart waffles, yarn, embroidery, Fair Isle textiles, wooden clogs, snowshoes and more. Print on full-sheet sticker paper or use ordinary paper and glue.

Page 7: Washi Tape and More Stickers

Six long washi strips feature Fair Isle, snowflakes, trees, berries, gingham and winter birds. Twelve additional stickers include winter clothing, skates, skis, a basket, church, snow globe, wreath, candle arch, gingerbread house, teapot and woodland birds.

Page 8: Four Coordinating Mini Papers

Four generously sized papers fill the sheet with only narrow cutting gutters. Choose from red Fair Isle, cream folk florals, icy-blue winter birds and a green snowy village pattern.

Page 9: Large Statement Ephemera

Nine larger scenes make excellent page focal points and cover decorations, including a red cottage, Christmas tree, folk horse, tomte, woodland animals, gift-filled sleigh, cozy baking still life, heart wreath and open journal.

Page 10: Five Printable Bookmarks

The final landscape page contains five tall bookmarks in cream, red, icy blue, Nordic blue and forest green. Print them on cardstock and laminate them for a durable little handmade gift.

Ideas for Using the Kit

  • Create a Christmas junk journal or December daily album.
  • Record family recipes and festive traditions.
  • Make cards, gift tags, bookmarks and small paper gifts.
  • Decorate planners, notebooks and holiday happy mail.
  • Use the mini papers for pockets, envelopes and card fronts.
  • Turn the stickers into a garland or festive collage.
  • Add journal cards to Christmas photographs and scrapbooks.

Printing Tips

Choose Actual Size or 100% in your printer settings. Matte presentation paper gives the watercolor artwork a lovely finish, while light cardstock is a good choice for tags, cards and bookmarks. Full-sheet adhesive paper can be used for stickers, although ordinary paper and a glue stick work perfectly well too.
