Free Round Gemstone PNG Clip Art: 30 Watercolor Designs

30 Transparent Watercolor PNGs for Beautiful Circular Designs

Today’s free collection began with one especially lovely request from a Print Blossom reader who works heavily with circles.

She loved the tourmaline in the original Luminous Gemstones collection and asked whether I could create an entire set of round stones in every color—especially amethyst, citrine and padparadscha sapphire—along with some new gemstone clusters.

I thought that sounded wonderful, so here it is: Luminous Round Gemstones, a sparkling collection of 30 high-resolution transparent PNG images designed for layering, printing, crafting and digital creativity.

Whether you enjoy creating birthstone keepsakes, wedding stationery, journal pages, scrapbook embellishments or colorful printable artwork, this collection gives you a whole jewel box of possibilities.

What Is Included in the Collection?

The collection begins with 20 individual round gemstones. The colors travel from crystal-clear and dramatic black through fiery reds, glowing oranges, sunny yellows, fresh greens, ocean blues, rich purples, delicate pinks and iridescent rainbow shades.

Creative Ideas for Round Gemstone Clip Art

Circular artwork is wonderfully versatile. A single gemstone can become a tiny decorative detail, while a wreath, ring or mandala can carry an entire design.

Here are a few ways you could use the collection.

Create a Family Birthstone Print

Choose one gemstone to represent each member of your family and arrange them into a circle, heart, tree or constellation.

You could add names, initials or birth dates beneath the stones to create a meaningful family keepsake.

These designs could also work beautifully for mothers, grandmothers, couples, children or pets.

Make Personalized Monograms

Place a name, initial, date or short quotation inside one of the gemstone wreaths.

The wreaths would be lovely for:

  • Wedding monograms

  • Anniversary keepsakes

  • Birthday prints

  • Nursery artwork

  • Personalized stationery

  • Journal covers

  • Gift tags

  • Thank-you cards

Try matching the colors of the gemstones to the recipient’s birthstone or favorite color palette.

Design Wedding and Anniversary Stationery

The gemstone circles, borders and curved corner arrangement can add a luxurious touch to wedding stationery.

Use them to decorate:

  • Wedding invitations

  • Save-the-date cards

  • Table numbers

  • Place cards

  • Menus

  • Favor tags

  • Thank-you cards

  • Anniversary invitations

The padparadscha, morganite, pink tourmaline and opal designs are particularly lovely for romantic peach, blush and rose-gold color schemes.

For richer jewel-toned celebrations, try combining ruby, sapphire, emerald and amethyst.

Make Planner Stickers and Journal Embellishments

The individual gemstones can be reduced in size to create colorful planner stickers, journal accents and scrapbook embellishments.

Use them as:

  • Bullet points

  • Date markers

  • Page tabs

  • Mood trackers

  • Habit tracker symbols

  • Decorative stickers

  • Tiny labels

  • Checklist markers

The rainbow gemstones could also be used to create a cheerful monthly color-coding system.

Create Scrapbook Pages

Use individual stones to highlight important dates, photographs or handwritten notes.

The clusters can be placed behind photographs, along page edges or around titles. The curved gemstone corner is especially useful for framing a photograph or adding detail without covering too much of the page.

You could also use birthstone colors to create scrapbook layouts for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and family celebrations.

Make Printable Wall Art

The gemstone circles and mandalas are ready-made focal points for printable art.

Place a favorite quotation, affirmation, name or meaningful date in the center of a wreath. You could also use a mandala on its own for colorful meditation-room, craft-room or bedroom décor.

For an especially personal design, combine several family birthstones inside one circular composition.

Decorate Cards and Invitations

A single jewel can make an elegant accent on a greeting card, while a colorful cluster creates a much more playful effect.

Use the gemstones for:

  • Birthday cards

  • Thank-you cards

  • Congratulations cards

  • Wedding cards

  • Anniversary cards

  • New baby cards

  • Graduation cards

  • Magical or fantasy-themed invitations

Add flowers, butterflies, stars, moons, ribbons or gold details to build a fuller composition.

Create Party Decorations

These colorful gemstones would be perfect for jewel-themed, princess, fairy-tale, rainbow or fantasy celebrations.

Try using them on:

  • Party invitations

  • Favor boxes

  • Cupcake toppers

  • Bottle labels

  • Gift tags

  • Table signs

  • Banners

  • Place settings

  • Party games

  • Printable decorations

The rainbow wreath and gemstone mandalas can become beautiful centerpieces for invitations and party signs.

Try Sublimation and Craft Projects

The high-resolution PNG format also makes the collection useful for many digital craft and sublimation projects.

Depending on your equipment and materials, you could use the gemstones for:

  • Mugs

  • Tumblers

  • Tote bags

  • Bookmarks

  • Keepsake boxes

  • Coasters

  • Decorative signs

  • Fabric projects

  • Stickers

  • Printable transfers

A row of birthstones could make a particularly meaningful personalized tumbler or family keepsake.

Design Tips

Because the gemstone images have transparent backgrounds, you can easily layer them over other design elements.

Try placing them over:

  • Watercolor washes

  • Dark velvet textures

  • Handmade paper

  • Marble backgrounds

  • Celestial skies

  • Vintage papers

  • Soft floral designs

  • Gold or silver textures

  • Photographs

  • Digital scrapbook papers

Resize each image from a corner to preserve its circular shape. Avoid stretching it from one side, as this can turn a beautifully round gemstone into a slightly startled oval.

For the crispest result, avoid enlarging the artwork beyond its original 5000 × 5000-pixel dimensions.

Printing Tips

For home printing, select your printer’s best-quality setting and choose the paper type that matches your project.

Matte cardstock gives invitations, cards and stationery a soft and elegant finish. Glossy or satin paper can bring out the brilliant gemstone colors and sparkling details.

Sticker paper is ideal for planners, journals, labels and scrapbook embellishments.

Colors can vary between screens and printers, so I always recommend making one small test print before producing a larger project.
