Perfect for Zoo Scrapbooks, Journals & Keepsake Projects
This kit was designed to be especially useful for zoo trip memory keeping. If you’ve recently had a family day out at the zoo, visited a safari park, taken the children on a summer holiday trip or just want to create a fun animal-themed journal spread, these pages give you lots of options.
You can use the journal cards to record favourite animals, funny moments and memories from the day. The ephemera and embellishment pages are ideal for layering onto scrapbook layouts, memory books and mini albums. The tags, labels and frames make it easy to add little captions, dates and journaling without needing to design everything from scratch.
It’s also a lovely kit for children’s keepsake projects. You could use it to make:
- a zoo trip scrapbook page
- a holiday memory journal
- a child’s “best day at the zoo” mini album
- animal-themed greeting cards
- planner decorations for summer adventures
- junk journal pages with a playful safari feel
Ideas for Using the Zoo Adventure Mini Kit
If you’re wondering what to do with the pages once you’ve printed them, here are a few fun ways to use the kit:
1. Make a Zoo Memory Book
Use the decorative paper as page backgrounds, layer in the journal cards for writing space, and add the ephemera, labels and faux tickets around your photos. This works especially well for children’s zoo trip keepsakes or family summer memory books.
2. Create a Scrapbook Layout for a Zoo Visit
If you’ve got photos from a zoo, safari park or wildlife day out, this kit makes a really easy starting point for a themed scrapbook page. The animal embellishments, tags and banners instantly tie everything together.
3. Use It in a Junk Journal
The ephemera, mini papers, labels, faux tickets and washi strips are all perfect for junk journaling. You can tuck the tags into pockets, use the labels as captions and cut apart the decorative pieces for layering.
4. Make a Child’s Summer Adventure Journal
This would be so sweet in a child’s summer holiday memory book. Add photos, little written memories, favourite animal facts and fun details from your day out.
5. Create Handmade Cards & Invitations
The tags, journal cards and decorative pieces also lend themselves beautifully to handmade greeting cards, party invitations and animal-themed paper craft projects.
My Favourite Pages in This Kit
One of my favourite things about this mini kit is that it balances pretty decorative pieces with genuinely useful journaling elements. I always like a kit to be something you can actually craft with, not just something that looks nice on screen.
The zoo-themed ephemera page is particularly fun because it gives you lots of different animal pieces to cut out and scatter through a project, and I also love the bookmarks page because it feels like a little set of giftable extras tucked into the collection.
The washi tape and stickers page is another favourite because it’s one of those pages that makes everything else easier to decorate. A few little animal stickers, a strip of zoo washi and a label or ticket can make a scrapbook page feel finished in no time at all.
Printing Tips
For the best results, I recommend printing the kit at full size on US Letter paper. If you want sturdier embellishments, tags or journal cards, you can print some of the pages onto a slightly heavier cardstock. Decorative papers and journaling pages also work nicely on good quality matte printer paper if you prefer a softer, more flexible finish.
If you like to build layered scrapbook pages, it can also be helpful to print a second copy of the ephemera or embellishment pages so you have extra pieces to play with.
