This kit leans into a haunted travelling circus / twisted sideshow aesthetic with a rich palette of oxblood red, parchment, smoky charcoal, antique gold, deep teal and faded plum. It’s moody, theatrical and a little unsettling, but still designed to be genuinely useful for crafting.

Ways to use this dark carnival printable kit
This kit was designed to work especially well for:
Junk journals
Use the journal cards, tags, tickets and labels to build Halloween junk journal pages, dark tuck spots, layered collages and spooky journaling spreads.

My favourite pages in this set
A few pages I especially love in this kit:
- the journal cards page, because it mixes writable pieces with creepy theatrical cards
- the tickets, seals and embellishments page, which is packed with little carnival bits for layering
- the bookmarks page, which turned out beautifully dramatic without tipping fully into “this clown definitely lives in the walls” territory
- the large motifs bonus page, because sometimes you need something bigger than haunted postage stamp scale
Printing tips
For the best results, I’d print this kit on:
- good quality matte cardstock for tags, journal cards and ephemera
- regular printer paper if you want softer collage layers for junk journals
- sticker paper for the stickers and washi page if you’d like to use them as actual peel-and-stick elements
You can also back some of the tags, journal cards or bookmarks with plain cardstock if you want a sturdier finish.
